With the Web Page module you can create new pages or edit existing ones. There is a five step process in creating a web page, where you can choose where the page will sit in your site, the page template design and layout. You can return and change theses settings whenever you wish. Text can be formatted, indented, bulleted and justified as if it was written using a word processor and you can place images, media or files within a page.

  • WYSIWYG Editing
    Complete page editing within your web browser. The editor was designed to look and feel like a word processor. There is complete text formatting for your content, including font, size, formatting, styles, colours, bullet-points, and much more. For easier editing, the full screen mode allows you to stretch the editor to the width and height of your browser window. The preview mode allows you to see how your page will look before publishing.

  • Easy Interface
    You can choose the page you wish to edit by browsing it via a tree view of the pages within your site. This also gives information about the page's status and visibility as well as allowing you to preview any page.

  • Images
    Select the 'Image' Icon on the toolbar to pop open the Image Manager. From here you will be able to manipulate your images and place them into your pages. Images can upload from a local PC to the website using the image manager. Flash movies and media files can also be easily uploaded and added to your content using the integrated media manager.

  • Table Support
    The editor has full support for both creating and modifying tables. To create a table, click on the table button on the toolbar. You can then click anywhere in the table and modify the border colour, alignment, cell-spacing and more.

  • Link Manager
    Creating hyperlinks to other web pages both within your site and externally couldn't be any easier. Links can be created simply using the Link Manager, by selecting the page that you wish to link to.

  • Private Pages
    Password protect certain pages to only allow registered users access. This allows you to keep certain pages private.

  • Paste content from Microsoft Word
    Users can work in Microsoft Word then quickly copy it into WebBuilder. This feature also makes it easy to migrate your schools Word-based documents to the internet. Because converting Word documents to web pages inevitably involves trade-offs, WebBuilder tries to preserve as much Word formatting as possible while converting to standard HTML that's easier to edit.

  • Simple, intuitive toolbars
    The editors toolbar is context sensitive. For example, when the edit page has just loaded, then the undo and redo buttons are disabled. However, when you start typing, they become enabled and can be clicked.

  • Lock editing
    When a page is complete it can be locked to stop any further changes.

  • Stylesheets
    WebBuilder has full stylesheet support. Stylesheets are specified when creating a page template and are available to select in the page editor.

  • Hiding Functions
    The editor is configurable allowing you to can add or remove features of the editor depending on the functionality you wish to allow. This is particularly useful when deciding what feature to allow pupils to use.

    Provide a dynamic rating tool for your site visitors. Determine how good your content is by the people reading it.

  • Page Comments
    Allow your registered website visitors to add comments to your pages, giving you the most important feedback - feedback from the readers.

  • Navigation Breadcrumbs
    Breadcrumbs can be easily added to a page template. The navigation identifies where a visitor is within tour site based upon the page they are viewing.

  • Image Galleries
    When using the Gallery Module, thumbnails are created when uploading images. Galleries can be places within a page and when a user clicks on a gallery thumbnail a full scale image is shown. All images within a particular gallery can be shown as a slideshow.

  • Browser-Based
    Authorized users with an Internet connection and Web browser can easily add or update Web content, giving them "anytime anywhere" Web publishing. This allows authorised users to make changes as and when.

  • Search & Replace
    The editor supports a search and replace functionality in both WYSIWYG and HTML mode. As a result, users' work with the content will be quick and efficient. For example, replacing the search string with the replace string can occur one at a time or all at once. In addition, the feature gives the user the option to find only text that matches the search word's case (upper or lower), or if the word being replaced should be a whole word or a partial word.

  • Spell Checking
    The editor has a spell check feature that is equivalent to most popular word processing applications. Users can also add words to their own custom dictionary. When a misspelled word is found, the spell checker offers several replacements or lets you type in a correction. You can change just that occurrence or all occurrences of the misspelled word.

  • Content check in/out
    An automatic page check-in/check-out process is incorporated into WebBuilder. After a page is checked out by a user, it may not be edited by another user until it is checked back in. This version control prevents a user from overwriting another's content changes. Users may save the page as many times as they like before checking it back in. Once checked in, another user may continue the editing process (if needed).
